They say you can't always expect people to know what you're thinking about, especially to the people whom you're close to. So the solution is to say it out loud. But what happens next after you've actually done so?!
It's either they get it or not and even if you managed to get the point across, the choice of whether or not they want to do it, is another matter.
Still, you somehow expect to see results. But with expectations comes disappointments.
I'm hoping and wiling to wait a lil longer. There may come a time where I might give up but till then, I'm still optimistic.

Tonight, the moon was bright and round. The wind was breezy and light. The world is going as per normal with me sitting on the bench with my mind in a mess and as time goes by, the chilly night left my heart feeling cold.

I wish it was just a dream. like literally. too bad it wasn't.
I've always thought I was over the age of being naive and gullible. but apparently I'm not. The world out there isn't all that nice and innocent as it appears to be after all.
I could have a thousand reasons to blame it on someone, something and everything. I could have a whole list of "what ifs" and it can just go on and on. It would make me feel better, definitely. But what point does it serve?
It was my decision, my own choice to make and so I only have myself to blame for the consequences thereafter. It just really sucks that people whom are close to me have to be implicated and I'm responsible for all those unnecessary troubles inflicted upon them.
I can't help but think about it almost all the time whenever my mind is free to wonder. I don't deny that I'm greatly affected by it. Yet, I know I'll be fine after awhile. I always do. I just need to accept the fact as it is and learn from my lesson. I believe in good karma and like what they always say: what goes around comes around.

Conclusion - I haven't changed much.

I was very inspired by what Steve Jobs had said in his speech to the Harvard students back in 2005. The paragraph above was just part of it that I somehow can relate to right now.
I've come to a point in life where I've to make decisions that are gonna be life-changing and critical in future for me. Yes, that's work i'm talking about, the one thats gonna be a huge part of my life soon. very soon.
I've thought of so many possibilities on what I can do. Probably in the marketing industry, smth I can apply my knowledge of theory from my degree or a wedding planner perhaps? I'm still undecided on what I actually want to do and I know thats fatal, but, I do know what I don't want to do. I'm pretty sure of that.
Friends around me may be starting work as soon as they unofficially graduate this year-end. As for me, I may want to go for yet another internship before I eventually find myself a stable job. I know this decision of mine is not gonna be a piece of news that's gonna get a green light from the people whom are close to me. But I want to leave my comfort zone once more, I don't wish to conform to the so-called social norms and wanna go on to try something new which is something that i'm truly interested in. I won't dare say I've a passion for it, not yet, but in the event that I do find it while doing this internship, all the better. That would of cause be the perfect scenario, but somehow, people don't exactly end up doing things they love for a whole lot of reasons, and I may end up being one of those people too. (looking at it realistically)

But not now though, not after i've tried and failed. Even so,
I am still gonna keep searching till I eventually find it.

Sometimes I'm really fasinated by how the mind works. really.
The more you tell a person not to do something, all the more that person wants to do it.
The more you tell a person to do something, the more that person don't want to do it.

I myself am guilty of this, but I chose not to fall for it. not anymore.
It's stupid when you come to think of it because there's always a reason why people are telling you to do this/not do that. It's usually to our best of interest and when we chose to fall on deaf ears, we end up being on the losing end.

It's been awhile since i'm actually home on a Friday night,

and the best thing is that i have the whole house to myself!
I can watch tv without any disturbance and watch any channels I want, read newspapers, snack on food, listen to music, dance around, study or do random stuff at home without talking to anyone at all. (total peace & quiet)
sometimes I really do wonder how can someone like being alone so much. (weirdo much huh)
alright i don't love it but I do enjoy it once in awhile, I believe everyone does?!

Am finally back in Sunny Singapore!
The 3 weeks of summer school + 4 days in Paris won't have been possible without my dad
so I would really love to thank him for my maiden Europe trip.
This whole trip has been a whirlwind experience, first and foremost, with my baggage getting delayed while I was in Paris. This was the first time I've gotten so close to losing my baggage and it really affected me much. The 4 days in the City of Lights was enjoyable yet horrendous at the same time. But my family has been really sympathetic and i'm really thankful for their kind words and support. Lovely has been a pillar of support too, hearing his words of concern did made me feel better and stronger. I couldn't have even enjoyed myself a least bit if not for their help because I was almost depressed without my luggage (notebook, 3wks worth of clothes and toiletries). I know this may sound a little too exaggerating but as the saying goes; everyone reacts differently to the same situation. The most ridiculous and yet touching thing my dad said, was for me to fly back home n forgo my summer school because he said I won't be able to study and enjoy myself. He rather forfeit the money than see me all miserable. How sweet was that.
A parent's selfless love is the best thing that can ever happen to any child.
One conclusion I got, my dad really knows me. (:

My luggage finally arrived on the first day of my summer school which was back in London. I couldn't have been happier. My family was definitely overjoyed to hear of the news.
The 3 weeks in London was more of a holiday than a real summer school. With my credits being non-transferable, I admitted that I had not much of a motivation to study. But it was also the first time ever I did not feel stressed over the results. The feeling was pure euphoria.
The friends I made there were from all-over-the-world and it really did exposed me to new things/knowledges which I didn't have before.
There were a lot of my first-time experiences where I sat on a 13 hours flight, got a chance to study overseas, away from home for almost a month, stayed in a hostel together with a roomate, miss not seeing my family, boyfriend and friends for so long, watched musicals namely Les Miserables & MamaMia, sat on a rail train and visited so many places of interests.
The 3 weeks has definitely morphed me in more ways than I could imagine. It may have been just a short 3 weeks but it was enough to change my perspective on things and made me a wiser individual.
I learned to be more forgiving and tolerant because travelling with a friend whom you are not close with can be tedious. Mine was no doubt an example. I am more open to new things than ever and now i'm trained to be less judgemental because it's clear that behind every action, there are reasons for it which are not made known to us. I took care of myself, learned to be independent and got to explore more about myself.
Just when I though everything was going as planned, we were lucky enough to experience not getting accepted onto a flight and was officially stranded in London on our flight back to SG. But it might as well be a blessing in disguise since we got compensated and it really wasn't that bad as compared to not having my luggage.

This whole trip has been one hell of a ride and although there were bumps along the way, I would say it was more of a tonic and memorable experience one could ever wish for. =)

Especially if the stakes are right.
In some way or another, cheating equates to lying.
(cheating = a person who acts dishonestly, deceives, or defrauds while lying = being untruthful)
One may be happy that things are going the way it is, but, feels that it'll be seem as selfishness on one's part to say it out loud and influence the other's choice. One doesn't want the other to have a chance of being resentful in future because if this is not what the other eventually wanted, one doesn't wish to be the cause of it esp since the other is still uncertain of what to do. One does not want to be held responsible for it and yes that's being selfish to some extend. Hence, one feels that in order to be fair, one has to weight both sides of the scale and provide inputs as accordingly and try not to take sides as much as one wants to.
There's no right/wrong approach but just a matter of whether one wants to take the risk. What happened to living dangerously as one may say. But there's always a line that one shouldn't cross if the stakes seem too high.
You never know when all these is worth it at all. really.

Sometimes, things can be very simple but one just has to make it complicated.

Bad day today.

I finally finish watching Autumn's Concerto and
I think I prolly had an overdose of it cos when I met my frens
ytd, I kept seeing traits of them which resembles the
characters in the drama. hahaha.
They must have thought I'd gone mad.
But wells, it was really a good drama, totally worth watching
esp the 20th episode.
I got so inspired by it I totally love it.

I finally knew that feeling and indeed it felt pretty good.

I might have made a decision initially only to doubt myself after that but I guess the so-called "sacrifice" was worth it in a way. I might have missed out on smth that may turn out great but I did gained smth else in return.
At least that was what I wanted and it was ultimately my own choice to make.
No regrets.
You might have missed it then but that doesn't mean you
won't have a chance at it again.
(it's all about the right timing I guess)

I like to go through life inspired or excited.
I can't remember things that are of no interest to me,
not that I can help it. (my brain is prolly a tat too small haha)
I live to eat and I live for the moment. (why plan so much for the future when you don't even know what tomorrow will bring)
Maybe I’m not meant to be spectacularly beautiful, or rich,
or smart and neither am I born outstanding.
I have been living my life so far for practicality.
To make my parents happy, to finish my education, to get a job in the future, to stop being compared, to not lose out to my peers.
I am not made for the competition, or the who’s who.
I am Me, always gone my own way, been my own girl, in my own lil world.
I should be accountable to myself from now on,
to lead and enjoy the life I choose,
to have fun and do all the things I've always wanted
to try and learn.
I know I need to look back and tell myself (prolly 20yrs down the road),
I have lived dangerously and have no regrets.

If one wants to know, just ask.
if one thinks they are not willing to share, than so be it.
why try to understand when people don't want you to.
what you hear/see is not what you get most of the time.
don't go testing people out. its not right.
once or twice is fine but too many a times is so wrong,
esp so when that person knew all along.
it shouldn't be that way. not to friends at least.

SUPER Chocolatey ice cream is ("V")

Been eating a lot lately ever since hols started,
esp ice creams.
In the past 2 wks, i've had B&J - A Cookies Affair,
cookies & cream, Marble Slab Creamery - Birthday Cake and Awfully Chocolate!
During the last wk at work, we girls have been eating like 5meals a day which is scary. but we cant help it cos we were constantly feeling
hungry every 3 hours and not to mention that np served buffets which we can help ourselves to it all the time. =P
I feel really fat and didnt even dare to weigh myself
for the past wks, in fear that I might get a heart attack. gee.

3 more days.
I seriously cant wait.
